I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and is having a joyous Hanukkah! I wanted to thank all my students in my human rights course, HR200. They celebrated my birthday by bringing breakfast to class – – I teach a 3-hour course from 10 am to 1 pm – – as well as a big birthday card, beautiful flowers (picture uploaded), a large box of Godiva chocolates (1 lone piece left!) and two bottles of wine. They’re good! Seriously, though, it has been a privilege teaching them this semester. Finally, I wanted to thank Kevin Uretsky, Kathleen Walker and everyone else who sent me birthday wishes via Facebook. I am not the best at keeping up with Facebook, but I have really enjoyed reading the updates from my Columbia Law School and Rutgers Prep family, including Robinne Lee, Cynthia Gooen, Michelle Fiddler, Diana Davidson, Brit Wittman, Maria Mahajan, Amiel Bethel, Marc Bromfeld, etc. Much to be thankful and grateful for!
